GARY SOULZ

The ability to combine gritty storytelling, lyrical acrobatics and soulful harmonies, in both English and Spanish, is what separates Gary Soulz from many of his peers. Raised by two Hispanic immigrants from Honduras and Colombia, this Boston native may seem to be at the top of his game, yet he rejects complacency and starves himself of satisfaction. Instead, he's focused on creativity, execution and growth. Fueled by passion and dedication, Gary's music is the vehicle that drives him, elevates him and guides him on his journey.

Rewinding back to 2012, after releasing his debut mixtape "It's Just Me" (under the moniker G.O.), the Boston hip hop scene quickly took notice, leading to collaborations with local favorites Reks and Akrobatik underground hip-hop legends Rapper Big Pooh, Oddisee, & Fashawn.

Looking to expand past the confines of his hometown, deciding it was time to switch gears, G.O. morphed into Gary Soulz back in 2016. He's since gone on to release 10 singles, his 2018 EP "Farewell", which hosts the Bizness Boi produced fan favorite “Mind on You” followed by his 2019 LP "Whatever It Takes", that includes features by Sebastian Mikael and BJ The Chicago Kid.

Over the course of the last 3 years, Gary has grasped the fact that his main purpose is not just delivering heartfelt and inspiring music, it’s bigger than that, it’s providing value.

Gary’s journey is the prime example of recognizing that our self work is never complete. Just when we think we’ve figured ourselves out, a new aspect of our own identity emerges, and we face the battle between denying that new emergence or embracing it and using it to our own advantage.

For Gary, that meant accepting that he’s not just a musician, but a coach, a marketer, an entrepreneur. This new sense of self allowed him to step into new waters that ultimately lead to the launch of his music marketing agency EffectiveXposure.

Meanwhile EffectiveXposure is used as a platform to help independent artists and record labels launch successful social media ad campaigns, that hasn’t stopped Gary from releasing his latest work of art, Committed Action.

Released in April 2021, the 3-track pack introduces Gary in a whole new way especially in the Lyfe Harris produced single “Say Less Freestyle”, where he uncovers some of his most recent entrepreneurial successes and future plans.

It has been made clear that no matter what life throws at Gary, he is ready to adapt and transform into a new version of himself in order to thrive and find success in his present circumstances. That’s the mark of a true champion.
